mHealth apps are rapidly growing (3.2 Billion app downloads in 2016 alone) in a market projected to be worth $233 billion by 2020. Our phones and smart watches now have mHealth apps pre-loaded when we buy them. We're all more interested in health & lifestyle than ever before (and we're able to capture bio-data & GPS records easily) as we move into a new era of Health and Fitness culture. Over 50% of mobile users collected health and fitness stats using their phones in 2016.
As a deskbound and office based digital creative (and a Dad to 2 very energetic young daughters) I am keen to make the most of my spare time for fitness and health. I use my Pebble Smartwatch in conjunction with an Android phone to record my daily step count and sleep data. It's a simple routine and has markedly improved my awareness of both. I strive to reach my daily goals with a bit of help from the built in app. It's encouraged me to think about upgrading to a fitbit so I can capture more useful information about my pulse and recovery (during & post) my admittedly, slightly irregular gym workouts. I'm hoping a fitness tracker will help me stick to the program. Rewards would definitely help motivate me.

Fitness wallet & User Rewards
The team behind Lympo have developed a digital fitness wallet and corresponding reward mechanism. This is at the core of the project and enables rewards to be distributed for health related achievements. It's efficient, lean and secure. Of course it is, it's Ethereum Blockchain. Smart Contracts will be used for trustless administration of the system; allocation of user rewards, custom reward programs and organisation of personal training packages. It's advanced & scaled efficiency. It's also the perfect accountant so stats are accurate, are not massaged by intermediaries and the analytics from any given activity or campaign are therefore not only reliable, but are directly and 100% accountable. Bingo.
MarketPlace
An integral component of the original Lympo vision, 500 personal trainers can be accessed through the marketplace upon launch and LYM tokens can be used to procure their services. This is just the beginning. Personal trainers will be able to use tokens for enhanced listings to maximise their exposure to the right clients and the platform will be able to offer discounts on various services and products like running equipment, health supplements and more. As the project rolls out, all manner of sports, health and fitness related services will be accessible through the marketplace of Lympo in an ecosystem which has a truly global scope. One which the globalised sports industry will inevitably find great partnership opportunities within. I didn't mention the Olympic Movement per se but perhaps in time, national sports councils and regional government departments will be encouraged to motivate the populace through the distribution of LYM tokens in exchange for regular participation in healthy exercise and healthy eating. Crowdfunding Platform
This arm of the project allows token holders access to evaluate and invest in the best health and fitness start ups as they come to the market. Rated by Lympo ecosystem members who are experts in their respective fields, LYM token holders will effectively be able to swap tokens for shares in health and fitness startup companies.
Lympo BlockChain for Sports Foundation
Composed of well known athletes and ecosystem members, the foundation will act as a supporter of sports initiatives globally and aim to encourage participation in all kinds of sporting activities. As part of the initiative it will be allocated with 22% of the LYM token distribution to help make the world a fitter healthier place. The Team
In contrast to most crypto recent projects, it's Co-Founder Ada Jonušė is an (inspirational woman); a blockchain and sports advocate, adviser to ETHlend and with experience at the UN & European Parliament. Lympo's executive team also has a healthy contingent of women members among it's experienced ranks. This is not to be underestimated in a male dominated space and one I find encouraging as the sector matures into an ever present, increasingly relevant and important industry sector.
